Grupo Carso is one of the largest, most diversified and important conglomerates of Latin America. Since its inception 40 years ago it has distinguished itself by its dynamism, its innovation in processes and technology, and the sustainable management of its resources.

STRATEGIC DIVISIONS


Commercial and consumption sector

Through Grupo Sanborns, the Company operates some of the most successful commercial formats in Mexico, with widely recognized trademarks.

Industrial and manufacturing sector

Grupo Condumex has a portfolio of products and services focused on the telecommunications, construction, electricity, energy, automotive and mining industries.

Infrastructure and construction sector

By means of the subsidiary Carso Infrastructure and Construction, Carso provides services to 5 sectors: the chemical and petroleum industries; the installation of pipelines; infrastructure, civil construction, and the development of housing projects.

Energy sector

Carso Energy participates in the energy and petroleum industries.

Among its goals is to take advantage of business opportunities arising from the energy reform laws in Mexico and similar opportunities in other countries.

SUSTAINABILITY ACTIVITIES


The Carlos Slim Foundation operates 96 sustainable programs and projects in 13 different areas, among them education, health, sports, the environment, and culture, reaching millions of beneficiaries in Mexico and other Latin American countries.

In addition to the Foundation activities, the Grupo Carso companies:

• Implemented reforestation campaigns

• Carried out rescues of flora and fauna

• Reduced the footprint of contaminating residues
