In January 2015, the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE, Comisión Federal de Electricidad) granted Carso Energy a contract for the provision of gas transportation services through the Waha - Presidio and Waha - San Elizario pipelines, both located in the state of Texas, in the United States of America. Carso Energy is a consortium involving Energy Transfer Partners, LP and Mastec, Inc. Carso holds a 51.0% stake in both companies, which are responsible for the pipelines projects. The pipelines have a length of 238 and 313 kilometers, respectively, and a diameter of 42 inches. In particular, the Waha - Presidio pipeline will be ready to serve the CFE beginning February 2017 once the compression tests and the interconnection works have been completed. Furthermore, the Waha - San Elizario gas pipeline is expected to become operational in the first half of 2017.

On September 11, 2015, Carso Electric S.A. de C.V. won the tender of the CFE for the provision of gas transportation services through the Samalayuca - Sásabe pipeline, which will be located in the states of Chihuahua and Sonora, in Mexico. Carso Energy holds a 100.0% stake in the company in charge of the duct. Its length will be 624 kilometers and have a diameter of 36 inches. At the end of 2016, construction works of the pipeline continued, with significant advances in obtaining the rights of way, the completion of technical studies for the change of land use, and the availability of tubes and valves required. It is estimated that this pipeline will start operations in 2018.
