Grupo Condumex
In 2016, sales at Grupo Condumex grew 7.8% to Ps. 29,049 million, compared to sales of Ps. 26,951 million recorded in the previous year. In this regard, the automotive sector’s sales stand out, reflecting a greater volume of direct and indirect export of cables and harnesses to markets in the United States and South America. Likewise, the Telecommunications sector and construction cables contributed to the growth observed.
Operating income and EBITDA summed up Ps. 4,776 million and Ps. 5,127 million, respectively, reflecting solid increases of 26.9% and 26.5% in the year. The growth was mainly explained by the mix of products, where, the Automotive and Construction divisions gained greater participation within the portfolio, and contributed to the increase in profitability.
Net income increased 45.6% in the year to reach Ps. 3,249 million, which compares with the net income of Ps. 2,231 million recorded in 2015.
Capital expenditures made by Grupo Condumex in 2016 totaled Ps. 362 million.
