SUSTAINABILITY
ACTIVITIES
Grupo Carso integrates sustainability criteria into its operations, with an approach focused on operational efficiency, risk prevention, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Actions in this area are implemented transversally across the Group’s various segments and are supported by corporate policies, internal control systems, and a governance structure that continuously oversees the main environmental, social, and corporate governance risks and opportunities.
This approach strengthens the Group’s operational resilience, enhances execution quality, and consolidates long‑term relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, authorities, and communities in the regions where it operates.
Health, safety, and well-being
During 2025, the Carso Comprehensive Health Program (Programa de Salud Integral Carso – PSIC) remained one of the Group’s main instruments for health prevention and promotion in the workplace. Through this program, health assessments were conducted for more than 43,000 individuals across 249 work centers, covering the vast majority of the Group’s divisions.
These assessments, carried out using the MIDO tool (Integrated Measurement for Early Detection), enabled the identification of risk factors associated with chronic conditions and prioritized follow up for employees with relevant health conditions, reinforcing a culture of prevention, early care, and self-care. Complementarily, the internal network of MIDO Experts was strengthened, supported by regional training centers providing nationwide coverage.
As part of the evolution of the program, progress was made in incorporating digital tools, including solutions supported by generative artificial intelligence, aimed at improving user experience and the effectiveness of health-related recommendations.
Human capital, diversity, and inclusion
At year-end 2025, Grupo Carso employed more than 84,000 people across Mexico, the Americas, and Europe. Talent management is based on compensation schemes aligned with the applicable legal framework, market conditions, and individual performance, with the objective of maintaining competitive and sustainable structures.
The Code of Ethics and the Human Rights Policy establish the guidelines governing the Group’s actions regarding diversity and inclusion, promoting a work environment based on respect, equity, and non-discrimination. Throughout the year, permanent programs aimed at the labor inclusion of people with disabilities, senior citizens, and single mothers continued, along with employee training on non discrimination and human rights.
Training and development
During 2025, the Group delivered training programs focused on operational efficiency, safety, technical training, and human development. Through various training initiatives, including ASUME, Capacítate Carso, and the Social Well-Being Program, skills development, continuous learning, and the overall well-being of employees were strengthened, contributing to a more capable and adaptable organization aligned with operational needs.
Community engagement
The Group maintains an active relationship with the communities surrounding its operations through initiatives focused on social support, education, health, and environmental protection. These actions are carried out in coordination with social organizations and local authorities and seek to generate tangible benefits in the regions where the Group operates, reinforcing its contribution to long-term social development.
Environmental management
Through “Carso Sustentable”, the Group promotes environmental management focused on efficient resource use, the prevention and mitigation of environmental impacts, and compliance with applicable legislation. These actions are implemented transversally and supported by Environmental Management Systems, performance indicators, and specific programs aligned with the Corporate Environmental Protection Policy.
During 2025, several Group companies maintained the ISO 14001:2015 certification across different divisions, reflecting ongoing adherence to international standards and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Efficient use of resources and waste management
Business units continued to strengthen waste management practices, promoting the reuse and recycling of municipal solid waste, special handling waste, and hazardous waste, under schemes aligned with applicable regulations.
Across the Commercial, Industrial, Infrastructure and Construction, and Hydrocarbons segments, significant progress was achieved in channeling waste to recycling processes and appropriate final disposal, helping to reduce landfill use and improve the environmental efficiency of operations.
Complementary initiatives were also promoted to reduce energy and water consumption, as well as to gradually incorporate more efficient technologies into facilities and processes.
Environmental awareness and training
In order to strengthen an environmental culture within workplaces, more than 250 informational environmental sessions were conducted during the year, with the participation of over 10,500 employees, promoting responsible operational practices and greater awareness of environmental protection.
Corporate governance and ethics
Grupo Carso promotes a culture of legality, integrity, and transparency as a central element of its corporate governance model. Through policies, internal controls, and confidential complaint mechanisms, the Group reinforces the prevention of improper practices and compliance with the Code of Ethics across all its companies.
During 2025, several Group companies retained the Socially Responsible Company distinction awarded by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI), reflecting consistent adherence to practices aligned with social responsibility standards and ethical conduct.
